The Place We Met - Investor Info

Very Large Potential Profits!

We believe The Place We Met is an incredible investment opportunity. In essence, your investment will create the value in the APP. Your reward for creating this value is to be the party that collects most of the forthcoming profit. Very conservative projections show that our investor will earn somewhere between $10M and $50M the year that The Place We Met movie is released.

The Marketing Challenge

A lost-connections site like The Place We Met has no value unless everybody knows about it. However, it’s not a mass-market product. Therefore, we don’t feel it would succeed using conventional marketing techniques. It needs to generate large-scale attention and publicity.

Your investment will help generate the publicity for The Place We Met, which will lead to a worldwide user base of people that want to reconnect with someone.

The Plan: Four Intellectual Properties

We propose that the combination of an APP, a movie, a song and a book will ensure that this project generates enough publicity to gain awareness on a global scale. The fact that we’re making it free of charge to the approximately 1.5% of the world’s population that has been displaced also adds to its newsworthiness.

1) The first MVP of the APP is already working. While very basic, it is capable of reuniting people on a global scale IMMEDIATELY. It is fully functional. However, our business plan includes a complete rewrite of the software starting the moment it shows signs of gaining traction. The new design will include many new features and will be funded by APP revenues.

2) There is a completed screenplay for a movie called The Place We Met, and we are actively looking for a producing partner. We are already generating solid interest and we are confident that the movie will receive a lot of attention when it comes out because of the association with the APP, which is a tool that is truly needed by humanity. To see a short proof-of-concept video for the movie, click here.

3) The first demo of The Place We Met song has been completed, with copyrights registered with The Library of Congress in the USA and with CIPO in Canada. We are in the process of looking for an upcoming musical talent that will record and release it as part of the movie soundtrack. Click the links below to hear two different versions of the song. The song demo version is the one that will play during the end credits of the movie. The piano version will be used for stripped down live performances.

4) A book is in the works. We plan to complete the book version of The Place We Met while the movie is in production, with the book coming out well before the movie is released. We have retained a New-York based literary agent.

Projected Profits

Click the link below to see our first estimate of the projected profits from the APP. We are looking at a movie that can be completed in the $1M - $5M range. We project that the APP could be rewritten for under $300K, and that funds needed for this work will come from APP revenues. We are VERY confident that our investor will earn between $10M - $50M the year that the film is released. With 1 million users, the APP is projected to earn $20M dollars. With 5 million users, it would earn approximately $100M. The user base could be MUCH higher than 5 million people if people start using it for lost & found items, missing pets or even as a quasi-dating site. We’re proposing a VERY basic formula where the investor simply receives a percentage of revenues right off the top. Our system has a report for investors that shows sales in REAL TIME. Our investor will see a partial email address and a partial IP address of each sale as it occurs.

Projected Profits

Summary:

For an investment of $3M - $7M, we project you will earn somewhere between $10M - $50M the year the movie comes out, with more revenues forthcoming in future years. However, note that this investment is RISKY. There is no guarantee that the movie and song will receive any significant PR. We feel VERY strongly that it will, but there are no guarantees. Therefore, we don’t recommend this project to the average investor. This investment is intended for someone with deeper pockets. The above average risk is why our investor will be paid a return that is way above average! If you are interested in learning more, please click the link below.

There’s no need for them to have an APP installed. They can just go to the site later and put in a location/date search. If interest is mutual, you’ll reconnect, GUARANTEED. If one party isn’t really that interested, they will NEVER know that the other person put in a search. It’s fairly rejection proof. Try it!

How Does It Work? (Video)

The APP searches by date (or date-range) and a GPS location. A word match narrows down results if there are several for a given location (example: a concert). People don't have to be using the APP or even be aware of it on the day they meet. Searches are made after the fact. See THREE EASY STEPS tab below. Both parties MUST be searching for each other. That's why everyone is sharing the APP. The person you seek needs to know about it.

He writes: You were a barista at Starbucks back in 2018 when I came in every weekend. You told me you study psychology and that you love travel. You were planning a trip to Paris.

She writes: I worked at Starbucks when I was at University studying psychology. You came in quite a bit. I told you I was going to travel to Paris that summer.

Matching Words: (Starbucks, psychology, travel, Paris). To maintain privacy, only the matching words are displayed to each party.

Three Easy Steps

It is really VERY simple. Login, enter date (or date-range), a location & a short paragraph. GPS locations are VERY easy to find on Google Maps. More detailed explanation below, video above.

1) Log In

2) Enter Date & Search Info

Enter the date (or date-range) when you met the person along with your search distance (radius). Your date-range might be the three years you went to high school (say you're looking for a high school buddy). Then enter a short descriptive paragraph (search info) that contains as many SPECIFIC details as possible. Use words that the person you want to find is also likely to enter. Specific details might include the names of people in your circle of friends, location names, addresses, favorite songs, movies, etc.

3) Enter Location

Once you've entered the date & search info, enter the location where you met. The system uses a GPS location and a distance (radius). For a friend you met at University, you could use the GPS location in the center of campus and select a distance (radius) of 1 km so you cover the entire campus grounds. Click GET LOCATION from your search record and then INPUT GPS to bring up the form to enter GPS coordinates.

Note that your search location doesn't have to be where you FIRST met. It can be somewhere you hung out. You can enter SEVERAL searches using different locations, if necessary.

To get the GPS coordinates from Google Maps (maps.google.com), on a desktop or a laptop, simply right click on any location. A box appears with information and instructions for various things. The TOP item contains the GPS coordinates with the latitude on the left and the longitude on the right separated by a comma. If you click the coordinates they are stored in the clipboard and you can then paste them into your search record.

On a portable device, hold your finger on the point on the map you want the location for. A pin will appear. Zoom in as much as you can on the pin and then hold your finger on the pin again and the GPS coordinates will appear. Cut and paste them into your search record.

IMPORTANT: If there is a minus sign before the coordinates, make sure you include it. Also, make sure you verify the coordinates typed in by clicking VIEW MAP from your search record.

You might find it easier to initially copy BOTH the latitude & longitude coordinates into the latitude field and then cut the longitude portion (to the right of the comma) and paste it into the longitude field. Don't worry about the comma, our software will strip it out.

Note that you can easily capture your CURRENT location through the APP if that's where you met someone. A simple instruction appears after you click GET LOCATION.

Met On An Airplane? Reconnect!

Please Share Image

Enter the date you travelled and the GPS location of the air traffic control tower of the DEPARTING airport into THE PLACE WE MET. Use a radius of at least 1 km. Neither party had to be using the APP or even aware of it on the day they met. If you're not sure of the date, use a date-range. If you’re not even sure what year it was, your date-range can span several years. Even better, enter multiple searches that span the years your meeting might have been, using the month you believe it took place.

The same convention should be used for other means of transport (trains, boats, etc). Always use the point of departure as the GPS location for the purposes of your search with a minimum search radius of 1 km. If everyone helps this APP go viral, it won't be long until you reconnect with that person you met on flight number 124!

When you meet somebody on an airplane, remember to say "let's catch up later at theplacewemet.com." Try it!
